The wireframe slicing algorithm is a speed optimized method of 3D printing that works by limiting material use. Paths are generated to form a skeletal wireframe of the object. In this approach printing isn’t limited to just horizontal layers, it is also done vertically, which is where a lot of the speedup comes from.
